Just received this message after experiencing about an hour delay on AS131 10/28. I was just happy to be back safe and sound. Thought that the AS crew did an excellent job keeping everyone comfortable and getting us to the terminal. North of Expected for sure - discount code for $200.

On behalf of Alaska Airlines, please accept my personal apology for the difficulties experienced with Flight 131 in Anchorage on October 28, 2009. I want to assure you that the safety and comfort of our passengers is always our foremost priority.

As you are aware, flight 131 experienced a problem with the landing gear during your landing. While the crew handled this situation safely and professionally, we understand that such an event can be a difficult experience for all involved and for this I apologize. It was necessary to change the tires prior to moving the aircraft. I would like to express my appreciation for your patience in deplaning the aircraft and in waiting for your luggage while the tires were changed.

It is never our intent to provide a level of service that does not meet our customers' highest expectations. As a customer service gesture, I have issued you an electronic Discount Code, which may be redeemed for a discount off future travel at www.alaskaair.com. Discount Codes are valid for one year from the date of issue. Complete rules and instructions for use may be found on our website. Please reference the appropriate code below at the time of booking.

It didnt have the newer type 800 seats and looked like it had been thru h e double L I wont know what A/C number it was until it posts on BTS 2 months from now but it was the most beat up 738 Ive ever seen for AS

Newer type seats in Y or F?? Ooo interesting!well by newer I mean the paper thin gray seats with the head rests that go up and down and bend. This A/C had blue seats that looked like a hybrid between 734 and the gray 738 seats. It had the side bending features but didnt go up and down.

Sounds like the seats on the 737-900 with the toilet between cabins. I suspect you might have been on one of the very first two 737-800's which are a few years older than the rest of the group.
