Hyatt Gold Passport - Cannot book award stays less then 7 days in advance?

I am sure this has come up before, but I have tried searching via flyertalk and google and cannot find it anywhere. I read the T&Cs of the FFNs and can't find anything there either. When I try to book a room using FFNs for any time in the next week it comes back and tells me that I cannot book an award stay less then 7 days in advance. I am new to Hyatt, is this normal? If I call will they be able to do it? For me it makes Hyatt less interesting then the other programs as a lot of my travel is last minute, sometimes even booking as I am pulling up to the hotel.

For award reservations within a week of arrival you must call Hyatt reservations. In general it is not a problem booking them that way.

As mmgm said call Hyatt reservations and if room is available they'll be happy to block/book one for you.
