From e-mail just received.

Spend £250+ in each of November and December 2009 for 50% extra VS miles - 1.5 miles for general spend, 3 VS miles with spend direct with VS. Presumably targeted, I'm a white card holder.

As I currently get 1.5 AmEx Rewards points per £ (1 MR = 1 VS), this is of passing interest to me, except if I buy at VS.

My email for the black card requires a £1500 spend, but it is still nice - especially as this means 6 points per £ for spends with VS. :D

Details here. (http://www.virginatlantic.com/en/gb/creditcard/blackmilesoffer.jsp?WT.mc_id=uk_cc600?ad=AFF1)

Hang on a minute, there's something a little funny going on here.

I am also a white card holder and I have to spend £1,500 a month in November and December to get the 1.5 miles per £1 bonus.

Here's the link:

Does anyone else think this is a little unfair?

Out of interest I was able to find the following offers on the VS site:

Black Card £250 miles:

Looks like they aren't playing fair with the premium card holders either.

Interesting how customised this appears to be. My black card requires £400 spend in Dec & Nov for 50% more miles........

Interesting how customised this appears to be. ....

Presumably they are looking to make you spend a bit more then you normally do, so make the target spend around your monthly average bill. I haven't worked mine out, but it would appear to fit.

certainly looks targeted black card holder here and 1500 spend, though will be taking advantage off so it has worked

I'm a white card holder and I was given £850 as my target spend. I average about £600-700 so this is about right.

It must be based on your normal spend as mine is set at £1500 as well.
