Star Alliance - Transferring airmiles from CO to UA in *A

Hello All - thought I'd throw this out to my fellow FT'ers first. I am a United Premier (Silver...) and have about lots of airmiles with CO. Can I transfer those to United? Dumb question but I am better known for my rapier wit:D Thank you beforehand for your help.

AFAIK there is no chance of transferring miles fom CO to UA.
(Besides, I don´ think that many FTers would want to do this because of starnet blocking)

Both airlines have their own FFPs, I don´t see why you should be able to transfer miles just because CO is joining Star Alliance.
