Disregard prior, similar thread.

Looking to take the family to the Gold Coast next April, as mini-Shillard is of the age to delight in SeaWorld, Dreamworld, etc. Prefer self-catering with decent service and have narrowed the field to either the Crowne Plaza Gold Tower or the Meriton @ Broadbeach. Mixed reviews of the Crowne Plaza on tripadvisor, etc - any first or second-hand thoughts?

I think you will like Meriton if you go there.

Some of the services are offered by offsite venues but as for self catering it will be far better than Crowne.

I know earthly things like money are not important to you so here is another suggestions: The Pacific Mirage Villas. They are part of the Sheraton Mirage. 2BR Villas just by the beach and within walking distance of Seaworld. Mrs Shillard can show till she drops in the next door upscale shopping centre designed for Japanese Honeymooners.
The Villas have access to all the resort facilities like pools and room service. Oh, and they are from $780 per night.
