Has anyone use the USB port next to the screen to charge iPods and other mobile devices in 77W and 380 aircrafts?

I have just taken the A380 from SIN-LHR-SIN recently. Have managed to use my USB cable to charge my iPhone while onboard.

yup! used it before with the charging cable and its fine. fully charged after a couple of hours.
