YX (Midwest) has a great segment/mileage run for you Skyteamers. According to DL's website (http://skymilesoffers.delta.com/airline_partners.php), YX flights get both segment and 500-mile minimum qualification.

The best use of this fare seems to be DCA-OMA-MKE-CLE-MKE-OMA-DCA for $96 all-in. That is $16/segment and 4020 total EQM/RDM. The only issue that many will have is that this takes two days to complete. Great deal especially for segment runners.

Be sure to check out sites like Orbitz, etc. if it is difficult to force the connections on YX's website.

Three week advanced purchase is required. Availability is pretty good from December 2nd-February 9th with the exception of the blacked out period from approximately December 16th-January 4th.

how are you finding this? multi-city on yx site? I can't get any simple roundtrips to show up (at all) on their site, and orbitz fares are a lot higher.

I was first building the connections by searching for yx+ on ITA. Then I'd build it by actually searching on Orbitz for each specific connection in a multi-city search.

All that said, I think the fare disappeared once the clock struck midnight, which is consistent with the end of the Southwest sale/other battles, etc.

Oh well. A tad too late.

I would've liked to combine this with the WAS-SFO deal on CO. Looks like I'll be flying on $25 WN fares instead and doing the BWI-IAD dance :D

EDIT: Also, I was looking at some of these YX trips on ITA, and curiously, I saw some 20 minute layovers in MKE. That's pretty amazing that they allow such short MCTs.

I could never get it to work on the Midwest website. Only place I could find it was on Expedia - with the 20 min connection in MKE. Really don't think that would've worked and I decided not to chance it.
