Marriott Rewards - Are there any NON point earning paid rates

If you book via a discount code at marriott.com, do you still earn points and credit for night stays regardless of the rate paid, and I mean $$$ for the room not a reward. Or are there some exceptions?

Other folks will surely provide better information than me, but the only rate I recall not receiving points for was Advance Purchase Rates.

You get points for Advance Purchase rates. Any rate you book on marriott.com and you pay for yourself you will get points for.

wholesaler and crew/contract rates are the only ones which dont earn points
