This is an interesting deal since I'm in San Diego and could drive to Tucson for the weekend but what is there to do and see in Tucson? I've never been to Arizona. Thanks!

sent you a pm-

Loews Ventana Resort is in the foothills of the Catalina mountains - Love love the mountains of Tucson and what I miss most.

The sonoran desert is amazing! walk in the Catalinas in the morning, and drive to the desert and see the sunset; and the vast sky and stars. Tucson has a "dim light" policy because of a great observatory there; so the benefit is you can almost touch the stars at night. El Charro (I think) is a very historical mexican food place that is delicious; and many other restaurants ("North" comes to mind) make it a great place to visit, and if you golf there are excellent courses. Something about the ozone in the desert is so appealing; I love going there. Even from San Diego; where I also live.
