Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Baggage allowance HKG-NIS (Africa), F/C class connecting to LX?

I am ticketed:

TG 607 HKG-BKK 20:45 - 22:30 First Class
TG 970 BKK-ZRH 00:15 - 06:45 Business Class
LX 274 ZRH-NSI 12:30 - 20:25 Business Class
(NSI = city of Yaounde, in the country of Cameroon, on the west coast of central Africa)

I am Star Gold with UA and BD if that will make a difference here.

1) Can I assume Thai will give the F class checked luggage allowance, even though it is my shortest flight in F and the rest is business class?

2) Is Thai likely to enforce the 7 KG limit for hand carry?
I have a lot more than 7 KG of valuable electronics I would like to keep with me. Are they likely to let me as an F/J class passenger?

3) So what will my checked baggage allowance be?
- From thaiairways.com, "On all routes the weight concept applies, except for travel to/from USA where the piece concept applies."
- From Swiss.com, Piece concept applies to "travellers to/from the USA, Canada, South America, the Caribbean and Cameroon".
If I print that out, will Thai give me the Swiss Cameroon allowance?
Will they consider me an F class star gold on piece concept, meaning 3 x 32 KG checked baggage allowance?

I realize that no one can know the interpretation of airport agents ahead of time with 100% certaintly. Perhaps experienced Thai flyers can tell me what is likely to happen?

Many Thanks!

Hi wannaflyforless, Flying out of HKG, my gut feeling is Hand luggage will not be a problem, unless you make it look like it is, meaning, if you strain under the effort to lift it, or it is obscenely large. Hand luggage will be the least of your worries!!
You are allowed 60kg, they will pick you up if the bag weighs more than 30kg, as this is now the max the ground crew will lift/carry. If you are LH/LX HON you will given an extra bag allowance either as a golf/ski. My understanding of your"how far can I push it" question is that 2 @ 30kg and the extra @ 20kg is permissable. Where I would be concerned is the THAI first out of HKG. If you are sure about that part, and your 3 bags do not exceed 60kgs by any extreme amount, I would be confident that TG will tag the lot through for you. regards bkkrop

BKKROP - THANKS for the helpful reply.

As things turned out - I headed to BKK from HKG much sooner, stopping in BKK for a few days before continuing - as I was not able to get the things in HKG that would have weighed me down so baggage was not a potential issue. But advice on this sort of thing is always helpful to me, as there could be a next time.
