SAS EuroBonus - Shocking news! SAS with positive(!) change
I was looking for some flights to the US and it seems that SAS now offers flexible conditions for all booking classes from V and upwards. This also includes the "discounted" B- and Z class. By flexible they mean for a fee, of course, and I don't know the fees' size. Even though competitors like LH have offered this on most booking classes for years, it still has to be considered a late, but welcome change from SAS.
According to my TA, my "discovery" is confirmed in writing by SAS Sales Information.
What's next? 100% earnings on all booking classes and SFO as new IC-destination? :D

I just did a fake booking CPH-EWR and CPH-BKK on sas.dk, the lowest flexible class in economy is now W I think. The fee is euro 114.

This makes it harder (impossible?) to make an Economy reservation with 100% earnings on the SAS website. Even when choosing "Economy Flexible", W class is selected = 25 % earnings. Not a positive change in my mind...
It'll also make it harder for me to argue with my company's travel detail as well to get a flight with 100 % earnings as I now can get a "flexible" flight in W class...
:td:
Then SAS should review the wording on the booking page as the choices are listed as:
Economy - Fixed
Economy - Flexible
Economy Extra - Flex
Economy Extra - Full Flexible
Business Flex - US Domestic Economy
Business - Full Flexible
but the "more information" link shows the flash(y) information chart which has Y and C as "Fixed" or "Fully flexible". "Flexible" is only for M.
Also it would be simple to find a reviewer that would point consistency in wording like: Is Flexible == Flex?
I could not find info about the fees on the site so I email SAS and got the following reply:
