Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Feeder to Connecting Flight the Evening before?

suppose I have an (intercont) flight leaving my hub at 10am. Can I take the (domestic) feeder flight from my home airport the evening before?

I'll be less than 24h at the hub, so it's no stopover, IMHO it should work.
