Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Status match

Hi to all,
Since i am new to this forum, this question may already been answered in different places. I am currently FB Platinum but in view of the recent changes in the FB program and the decrease in service level I have considered a change from FB to M&M. Since i am also Privilege blue member, i have asked M&M if they would offer me status match in their program. I got a reply from M&M stating they would offer me status match (either FrequentTraveller or Senator) if I take at least 2 LH flights until end december 2009. They would monitor my account weekly and send in my updated card as soon as the flights would have been completed. My question is, how long will it take before i will get my new cards and to which level i will be matched? I currently have a round trip from BRU to SYD via FRA scheduled with LH/SQ

If your current status represents the highest level in your "home" airline, LH should give you SEN card (Star Gold, or *G as often referred to here). The card should arrive about 2-3 weeks after the miles have been posted on your account. Do make sure that your temporary card number is printed on the boarding passes to ensure the automatic credit of the miles to your account.
Also, by putting a 2-flight requirement, most probably LH meant flights that are operated by LH (so, LH codeshare from SIN to SYD might not be considered by LH/Miles&More as LH flight). In addition, did they specify what they meant by 2 flights: 2 flights= 2roundtrips or 2 flights=2 segment (just want to make sure that you are not unpleasantly surprised later should this be your only flight on LH until the status match offer expiry).
And welcome to the club!

Thanks for the info. Platinum is indeed the highest level in FB so i assume i can expect to be SEN. As for the upcoming flights, my flight from BRU-FRA and return FRA-BRU is with LH metal so that should qualify me (as the email from M&M indicated two flights which i assume are two segments).
I hope I have made a good choice by joining M&M

Interesting news that M&M is offering such a fast track to FTL/SEN. I wouldn't bet that the BRU-FRA-BRU portion of your trip counts as two flights. You may want to double-check with them or simply add another roundtrip.

Hi there,
With your trip BRU-FRA-SIN-SYD and return you should make it to FTL anyhow and depending on your booking class possibly very close to SEN.

The T&C are clearly spelled out in the standard M&M status match page for Belgium (http://milesandmore-aktionen.de/status/?cc=be_EN):
After one paid return-flight with Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Luxair or SWISS you will receive your golden or silver Miles & More card which is then valid until February 2011.
The OP's two LH segments should qualify for the status match.
