Hilton HHonors - Hhonors pts for Park, Stay & Fly?

We stay quite often at the Hampton Inn PDX, and usually get Hhonors points for the entire stay. This past trip out of a $109 Stay & Fly rate we got credit for only $44 - they said the rest was parking, and therefore not eligible for points. Even when I said we had gotten the full amount in the past, they said that was incorrect, and should not have happened.
Does anyone know if this is a general HH policy or an individual hotel decision?
Well, the HHonors T&Cs state:
"The term "eligible folio charges" for Hampton Inn®, Hampton Inn & Suites® and Homewood Suites by Hilton® hotels mean room rate only."
I would think you could argue that you paid a room rate and should get points for the entire room rate - I'd consider escalating to HHonors or Guest Assistance...
What's next, stripping breakfast or dinner out of eligible package rates?

I have never had an issue with the full amount posting for a park & fly stay.
I would call Hhonors directly as you paid for a room and they gave you the parking for free (as it was included in the park & fly rate). Not sure if you called the hotel directly or HHonors.
Good luck, let us know. Seems sort of cheap to not post the entire rate.

I called Hhonors and they said they can only post the folio that is sent to them by the hotel. The folio they got said $44, but I have the original that is $109, so I think I'll just send it to them and bypass the hotel.
I had to make another reservation for an upcoming stay, and this time the park and fly rate is $99, and the "Best available" room-only rate is $89, so I guess in theory parking should be $10 (it's a great bargain in any case, it's just them I'm trying to get enough points for a free stay and every little bit helps).

That particular hotel has 2 separate rates that include parking - "STAY N FLY 14" and "STAY AND GO" (usually costing the same). If the latter is available for your dates, you may want to book that one, as the terms on it specifically say "Free hotel parking for up to 14 days". With this wording, there is no way they could legitimately argue that the bulk of your payment went towards parking...
That said, I've never ever had a problem getting full credit for "park and fly" rates at any HH property, no matter whether the terms said parking was "free", or "included", or whatever. Definitely :td::td::td: on the "creativity" of revenue managers at this hotel.
I have seen the same behavior in the past at the PDX Hampton - it has been a while since I stayed there on a P&F rate though. As I recall I got the full credit only by going direct to HH with my folio. I always thought it odd that they essentially advertised the parking as free but then played a game with the points. Lately, as a SPG Plat who has about had it with HH program and attitude changes I have put my P&F stays at the new Aloft - generally a pretty good deal.

Good to hear it's not my imagination. We stayed at the Aloft once and liked it except for no free breakfast and the fact their parking is I think limited to 7 days or so - then you get charged $15/day. Our trips are usually longer than a week.
I just sent my folio off to Hhonors, we'll see what happens.
Nice to see a fellow Eugenian :)
