Mileage Run Discussion - Figuring out the booking class on xpdia or orbitz

I've search the forum but can't seem to find a thread on the best way to find the booking classes for each segment of my proposed trips.

My specific example is I am looking at a flight into CAI but Egypt Air is really bad with the FF mileage based on the fare (only F, A, P, C, D, J, Z, Y, B, M, H are 100%, Q or K are 75%, V or L 50% and G, S, W, T, U are 25%!).

The best prices are through Expedia and Orbitz, but where does either say what the booking class is? Or where is best to reference the fare and if I use a 3rd party site to reference my itinerary's fare how do I know Expedia or Orbitz isn't actually showing a reduced booking class?

For orbitz so a dummy booking. When you get to the page for traveler Information (Past the hotel options page and past the car rental and attractions page). Under section 9 Review fare rules, terms, and conditions click on the link that says "See an overview of all the rules and restrictions applicable for this fare."

This will bring up the fare rules page. It will list the fare basis code or codes if there are more than 1. The first letter is the booking class.

I did a trial for YVR-LHR-CAI on 11/30 - 12/16 and select the first option that came up Air Canada to LHR and Egypt Air to CAI. Fare Basis began with S which is 25% mileage accrual

Thank you!

1. I did a dummy with different dates and got 2 fare codes (2 segments), so "NA14PN" means "N" and "LPUSRTMS" means "L"?

2. Expedia has a better price but when I tried the same it says "We have not received rules or restriction information for this flight. In most cases, the following rules and restrictions may apply:" - anyone ever received this?

3. The one segment that was mentioned as S class is a code share between bmi and Egypt Air, both options were available (exact same total itinerary back to North America) but it is a code share with Egypt Air actually operating the flight. As bmi gives 100% *A mileage for S class but Egypt Air only gives 25%, and both options are priced the same, if I actually picked bmi would I still get the 100% mileage, or would it only be 25% because it is Egypt Air's plane?
