They left SkyTeam, beyond that is only rumors and speculation, e.g. 948577. TACA is also frequently rumored to be on the Star track, e.g. 891146.

According to AvWeek, CEO of TACA met with CEO of *A in NY on Tuesday during the induction of CO into *A. Apparently the topic of discussion was possibility of TACA joining *A. No announcement was made, and there is the issue of recently announced merger between TACA and Avianca, which has strong links with SkyTeam. So it seems like some ideas are being explored, but probably nothing will happen, at least until TACA's merger is done.
