Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Question about Mileage accrual on flights- Location Based or Miles Travelled Based?

Hi all,


just wondering how mileage accrual works on SQ. Say for Example I'm flying out of HKG and going to London via SIN.

Do i get miles for:

A. HKG-SIN (1 leg) + Sin-LHR (1 leg)

or

B. the distance between HKG-LHR (therefore disregarding the stop made in SIN)


the difference is about 4000 miles so just wondering.

You will get miles based on actual itinerary and sectors flown, not distance between origin and final destination.
