Hi all,
Has somebody of you already stayed at the Indigo New York Chelsea?
We want to go there around x-mas but I could not find any reviews at all.

I have moved this post from the sub-forum (which is only for reports about stays there) to the main forum, so that it gets a bit more attention.

I'll be staying there from Nov 6th-8th on a reward stay. Will be sure to report back as to my experience. From all information, looks like a great NY addition to the ICH chain ^

The price starts at $419 per night. What are my choices for a stay in NYC for Nov27-29? The prices are pretty steep and there are no Reward promotions either

That weekend is the US Thanksgiving weekend. Always an expensive time in NYC. However, there are several properties available with PC Reward Nights and Points + Cash options.

Here are a few properties:

Holiday Inn - Manhattan - 6th Avenue (26th Street)
Crowne Plaza - Times Square (Broadway and 49th Street)
Holiday Inn Express - Times Square (39th Steet)
Holiday Inn - Midtown - 57th Street

There are a few more. All are at 25,000 PC points/night or Points + Cash.

Hope this helps.

So I just stayed there on an award stay this weekend (normally I'd stay at the CP Times Square, but it wasn't available).

I'll post some pictures and a full review in the elite experiences thread, but briefly, the hotel is quite nice inside, although the rooms are on the small side (especially for the price!). Elite recognition was basically non-existant - I was given a bog-standard room with no view. I understand the no upgrade to a suite since they only have two, but a room overlooking something other than a brick wall would have been nice.

I also asked for late checkout on Sunday (the product of a much too late night in ktown and Cheoum Cheoreom) and was told the latest they do is 2 pm, and from their response I gather this is offered to anybody.

So I'd say that if you have no status, I'd go with the Hotel Indigo over the CP if staying in a IHG hotel is important. With status, I think it's pretty much a no-brainer to stay at the CP if the prices are about equivalent. I've also stayed at the HIX near Madison Square Garden, which can be a good deal and is a basic, but well run, operation.

Having said all this, if you don't care about the points or need elite qualifying nights, I'd probably just take whatever is on offer on hotwire in the 3 1/2 or 4 star category over $419 for this hotel. It just isn't worth the premium.
