Swiss International Airlines - State of New Business Class Seats

Last week I flew intercontinental business on Swiss for the first time in two years, (ZRH-ORD-ZRH). I was surprised to see how worn the new seats appear already, lots of scuff marks and panels falling off. What will they be like in a few years if they are like that after a few months? The seat is narrow, but not as narrow as the impression from threads here but it is very long, I’m 1.89m and could stretch out fully. The big side table is great.
I used the lounge in ORD and although it has been revamped, I think, it still is far too small.
The flight was fine, food and drink quality high, although I would have liked to have had a starter and salad! The second meal was only one course with a dessert too sweet to eat. There were no snacks available during the flight apart from some icecream.
All in all enjoyable flights.

Are you sure it was the new business class on the A330? Swiss only uses the new planes to New York and Dehli. Unless they had some last minute changes it was an old configured plane;)

What does that comment mean? I think I know what model of seat I sat on. I think that since July the A330-300 has been on the ORD route.

You've got all the snacks you want in the galley. If none, you can always ask the cabin crew.

Quite surprising to hear that especially these seats are only 5 months old and they were made of the best swiss materials

Not everyday or not anymore. Certainly not when I'm flying this route at the weekend. :(

With the support of the last post and affirming that I am not one of those sad wan**rs who pertend on internet websites to fly premiun cabins, the thread is about the bad state of the new business class seats. Does anyone else think the same?
Folks, this is just a reminder to discuss in a friendly manner. I think that is is fair to ask if a member is really sure about a certain fact (new seat in this case) but it is also only fair to accept the answer (obviously it was the new C cabin)!
Take care!

This is indeed interesting and surprising news even though I don't believe the marketing slogans like "best swiss materials". Still a seat/cabin should be in a good shape for more than just a few month. I'll find out on my upcoming flight…
