Air New Zealand Air Points - Where to book NZ flights showing booking codes?

I'm looking to book an NZ flight, but I can't seem to find a website that will show me the booking class prior to booking. ITA shows it, of course, but I can't buy on there. The Web Support people say they can't see it either and the reservations line wants a $100 booking fee to book it through them.
(I'm trying to credit to UA MP and want to make sure I'm in the right class.)
Thanks.

It shows up on the e-Ticket
Don't book a Global saver if you want to earn UA points.
Someone on here should be able to tell you which level to buy for UA points

But that requires that I buy first, right? I can't check the codes before booking? :( I'm told that all of the "Saver" fares do not earn and some of the "Value" do not, either. How do I know which "Value" fare I'm buying?

Use expertflyer or kvs to look up fares. Find the one that matches (before tax) and then look at the fare rules which will tell you the booking class.
I agree it is annoying to have to do this.

Greaaaat. And I have to pay for KVS to do this? Double-weak.
Even if I do lookup fares, I can still only buy one of three fare classes online, though, yeah? So if the mileage-earning class isn't the current "Value" fare, I would have to buy up to the full-fare deal to earn miles, yeah?

You will learn fast that Air New Zealand hates Frequent Flyer Programs. I'm sure at times they wish they never joined *A.
Another way around it would be to use a TA, although it will most likely attract fees. Generally NZ is a no commission airline (Not sure if they are in the USA yet).
Another option would be try booking on the UA code share though the UA site. Although you might not get as good fare.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'd rather give my money to a TA than to the KVS folks.
The UA codeshare is almost twice the price (and I'm not even sure if it's mileage-earning, since it only shows me the UA booking code).

The only problems with TA bookings is that sometimes your unable to look them up online on airnz.com. Which means you need to do seating over the phone.
