Unless you have miles on the carrier and it serves your city pairs, does it really matter?

let me clarify

i have enough miles for 1 way on aa

if i can figure out another carrier that also does 1 way awards i would sign up for a CC and figure out a way to get the miles ASAP

i have too many citi cards, cant churn anymore with citi

as far as city pairs go im based in LA and most majors service the pair i am interested in
