Is there anyway to determine the number of YTD rentals and YTD rental days one has rented thus far? I know we get the occassional email that provides an update of that information, but is there any way to have a real-time determination of that (e.g., online)? I also know you can physically go through your rental history and count, but that's a bit cumbersome and it's easy to forget any free days used they wouldn't count towards your total.

Also, the weekly emails only show rentals YTD, and it's only once in a while that the total days YTD is emailed (which is how I typically qualify for Exec Elite). It'll be close for me this year, so I want to make sure I know the exact number.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no easy way to do this - best way is to call customer service.

Just a note - rentals where I've redeemed a free day have always counted towards qualifying for Exec Elite. However, I've always qualified on number of rentals, never on rental days.

Yes, I had the same concern and the customer service seems to have a screen that shows this number rather than having to count. They will deffinitely help you out.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I will confirm with National customer service to make sure my counting matches with theirs.

I've called (and emailed) to ask as well, and they're always quick to give me my current count.

Currently at 82 days! Three more days to Executive Elite.

I'm having a slow year - only 19 rentals so far, with another three reserved. Several of the rentals have been tax only, but I've gotten one credit for each of them.

I just noticed that my status flippped from Executive to Executive Elite this week. I live about 70 miles from MCO, so I tend to do a lot of one-way rentals between home and the airport instead of paying parking for any longer-term trips. I did try to call CS earlier this year for a count, and they told me that they couldn't give me one. Perhaps I was trying the wrong number?

I had heard that with EE status comes the ability to rent "almost" any car with the earned free days. This wouldn't, by any chance, include specialty cars (like a convertible?) maybe?

Sure does! :D

Pretty well anything that you can book online you can use a free day on. The exceptions are things like "Best in Class" cars at LAX. In that case the best you could do is book a Luxury, and then pay to upgrade. Still a great deal though.

Check out this excel tracker document (http://www.mediafire.com/?rymtymiizjm). Use IE to login to you from your Emerald Club Account. Click Rental History then copy and paste into this document. I built in room for 20 rentals, but can expand it if necessary.

Hey dcchi!

There is a way to can check your rental history. I use it all the time to keep track of my YTD Rentals. It gives you the following information. First log on to your Emerald Account at www.emeraldclub.com.
Then go to Emerald Club Home. On the menu to the left, click on Rental History. This gives you the following information:

Rental Agreement # Pickup Location Pickup Date Return Date

You can click on the highlighted rental agreement and it will provide you with all this information (I've used one of my rental agreements):

Thanks. I know that you can view your rental history and all to "count" rentals and days. However, based on a recent conversation with Emerald Club customer service, it seems like that won't get you an accurate count on whether you will requalify.

For example, according the the CSR, for purposes of counting for the various elite level statuses, "free" days don't count. While this seems to make sense for a rental that is "totally free" (e.g., a 2-day rental when you used 2 free days that you had banked), it also applies when you've used one of the coupons that get you a free weekend day for 3-day rentals (i.e., only 2 days count towards your elite level status).

Therefore, according to the CSR, it's not as straightforward as it seems. In addition, and probably most importantly, if what the CSR says is true, the regular and quarterly emails that National sends out don't appear to be correct in relaying the exact number of rentals and days you need to requalify, as I don't believe they "ignore" any "free days" or "free rentals".

Does anyone else have insights into this?

In my case, I've done a "rental run" to re-up my status that should put me past any # of days required, but it doesn't seem to be as easy to figure out as it first appears.
