Mid-Atlantic - How to get from EWR T1 to T3?

I'm traveling on UA connecting in EWR on CO to PBI. My understanding is that I'll arrive in EWR Terminal A and the connecting flight will depart from Terminal C. How do I get between terminals? Will I have to clear security again? How much time should I allow for the connection?

Let's move this to the Mid-Atlantic (Travel) Forum so the non-UA travellers can also add their expertise.

There is The AirTrain that shuttles between all 3 terms as well as other places within EWR. You exit the secure area and then need to look for the signs, and go up 1 level with an escalator, then be careful to get on the train heading to T-C and not the opposite direction
Yes you will need to exit the secure area and then once at T-C go thru TSA
Time to allow will depend on the lines at T-C = depends the time of day and if you have Elite status (although lately I have found that the Elite line is longer and moves slower then the reg line).
As of now thats probably the best way to go, maybe UA will eventually have a shuttle bus.

by AirTrain (http://www.panynj.gov/airports/ewr-airtrain.html)
runs every 3 mins and will take 4-5 minutes to get between A & C
EWR map (http://www.panynj.gov/airports/ewr-airport-map.html)
...Will I have to clear security again? ... Yes
.... How much time should I allow for the connection? anything under 45-50 minutes would be tight

Thank you for the info! Sounds like a EWR connection between terminals should be avoided if there are reasonable alternatives.
