Other Credit Card Programs - Is there a United Chase card with no annual fee?

I was wondering, does chase offer a United card with no annual fee? I assume the benefits would be less, but is there such a card?

Agreed,but since it appears that the Gold card is no longer offered fee free,this seems to be a good alternative for now.
25k miles after 250 in spending and 2X miles for purchases.

After the first year,call to cancel--they may convert you to a no fee card,although at this time I don't think they are offering that option.It may be different in another year or so.

Yes there is - it gives 1 mile for every $2 spent. I got the card after my initial free year with the United / Chase card - I called them and said that I didn't want to pay an annual fee so they give me this one instead.

As reported elsewhere, Chase is not allowing folks to downgrade to this card now (I also did this 2 yrs. ago). And I don't think there are any UA no-fee cards currently available.

Just called Chase, according to the CSR, one cannot do a "product trade" from the Visa signature to the Gold signature :(
