Hi,
I'm trying to book IC0952/IC0951 from DXB-HYD-DXB for Dec/Jan. I'm trying to find a website where I can book this ticket! I'm based out of US, so I have to use a website. What's the best website for IC tickets out of DXB?
Most of the sites (travelocity, expedia, zuji) are to be offering good fares on 9W, but IC fares are for some reason much more expensive. I prefer IC as the flight's timings work out better for me.

hmm, apparently their website doesn't allow booking ex-DXB.
ex-HYD, Y-class looks pretty expensive (~18K INR). However, J-class looks quite reasonable (~27K INR).
Not sure if they are the same ex-DXB, but if you haven't already, you might consider looking into the J fare on websites like Zuji, expedia, etc.

OK, this was really puzzling!
You can book ex-DXB on airindia.com, but doesn't show the return HYD-DXB as a nonstop (even though it is scheduled daily). Only connections via BOM/DEL show up.
So, you can book 2 one ways. Ex-DXB on airindia.com, and ex-HYD on indianairlines.in
Not sure if that will give you a better deal than what the TAs are offering, but there you go.

I was having the same issue :) Fortunately cleartrip.com was selling this route. The price came down to ~14K ex-dxb, about the same as 9W.
I had one interesting experience a couple of years back with IC...I thought I had a J ticket from KWI-HYD. But IC disagreed with me and made me sit in Y. I pretty much gave up on IC/AI after that.

Sitting in Y on a flight from the gulf to India isnt going to be fun at all. Especially an IC flight. Pay the small (~ 10k) premium and go book J.

Entirely agree with hserus. Gulf to India in coach is something one should avoid if possible. Not just on AI, but ANY airline.

I've done EK from DXB-HYD in Y a few times and I found them to be excellent. I did the one aforementioned KWI-HYD once and that was not so great. Really old Airbus and little legroom.

Indeed, i found the service in DXB-BOM to be superb, the best of any EK flight i have taken to date. Which is why im asking - what exactly should one be concerned about on a Gulf-India flight in y?
Back on topic; indianairlines.in is one of the worst booking engines i have used. It would randomly stop functioning and its interface is distinctly user-unfriendly. I paid the service fee and booked using cleartrip.
