Hi Guys,

I know this is not the right place to ask, but I'm not sure where to go, so hoping someone can point me in the right direction...

I am flying OOL-NRT JQ11/NRT-OOL JQ12 in February... I was recommended to take seats 44A/B or 44J/K and want to verify that these seats:
- recline the whole way
- don't have anything blocking the leg room such as the pokey outey bit of the door
- have arm rests that raise up

Can anyone assist me or point me in the right direction?

Thanks heaps!!:-:

Check out the seat map for the Qantas A330-200 domestic which has the same seat layout as the Jetstar A330-200.

http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/flying/inTheAir/ourAircraft/332-38J265Y.pdf

The seats you mentioned do have a full recline.
No lift up armrests.
The window seats in this row will have the door slide assembly sticking out a bit.

For exit row seats the tray table will be in the armrests and so the armrests will not lift up.

Recline will be full recline.

I don't know if this has changed in the last year, but, IME, it doesn't seem to matter which seat you pick when you book your flight, as JQ will reassign all the seats (randomly, it seems) at check in. Be prepared to find out that you've been assigned a window seat way in the back after having chosen an aisle towards the front... To be fair, if you're seated with someone else on the same reservation record, they will keep you together (at least they did with us).

Might be of some help...

Thanks heaps for that - very helpful! I must have been blind, when I went to Seat Guru I didn't see Jetstar, not that I knew which kind of plane I was on though...

On the re-assigning, we have booked the seats with extra leg-room, when I went to Bali in June we booked 1A/B both ways, but on the return leg they tried to move us... I just refused to accept another seat - I explained that I had paid extra and that they had better find a way to get me in 1A/B...

Does anyone know if there is a QF lounge near the Jetstar departures at NRT? We would love to have a shower before we leave :o)

The is a Qantas Business lounge at NRT - to which you will have access.

I love these seats, you feel like you have business class space (better than Starclass) at least. At the moment, Jetstar has a special on the price, $30 per sector (usually $60). They are a little narrower, but the legroom makes up for it.

Yep - I splurged on the extra leg room upgrade during the sale... This is supposed to be a super cheap snowboarding trip, but as I usually travel QF J, I knew I was going to suffer badly!

Glad you like the seats, hopefully we do too!

Thanks for the info on the lounge Serfty, hopefully it is close to where Jetstar leaves from, haven't been through NRT in about 3 years, so it's all a bit of a blur to me.

I sat in 44B just last week on a certain MEL-SYD flight. Actually quite a comfortable seat - full recline, stacks of legroom, was able to have a bit of a chat with the FA sitting in front of me. Door doesn't intrude in to 44A's legroom. Definitely recommended! :)
