Received this today via email:

When you use your Continental Airlines World MasterCard® to pay your cable or satellite bill automatically, you can relax, knowing your bill is paid on time, every time. Plus, you get 1,000 OnePass® Bonus Miles when you make your first automatic bill payment of $25 or more using your Continental Airlines World MasterCard by December 31, 2009.

I also received an email today about bill pay. However there was no mention of any bonus miles or minimum payment required to earn miles.

If you are planning to take advantage of this, keep a close watch on the miles that actually post each month.

I have had problems with them recognizing Verizon as a cable provider and had to intervene each month.I finally gave up and now put those charges on another card.

Does this work for the Chase CO debit card or only on the credit card?

Also the same promo is on for British Airways for 5000 miles for the same thing and if comcast you can split the bill so you could get both promos in 1 payment. Comcast though only does auto payments for checking and 1 time payments for credit cards.

This is not true, atleast in my experience. Comcast has been charging my AMEX for the last 2-3 years. I recently switched to Verizon Fios and it will be a trouble getting that payment recognized as a "cable" bill.

This is a Chase sponsored offer. Earlier this year I got the offer for cable on my Priority Club card. I later downgraded to avoid the annual fee and got the offer for a cellular bill with a $10 credit.

My Comcast bills were also charged automatically to my CC. When I switched to Verizon, and charged to my CO card, the transactions were never recognized as cable, despite many contacts with Chase. I finally gave up and started using another card..hopefully others will have better luck-just keep an eye on your statements

Received same offer for Amazon VISA issued by Chase. (Amazon points convert 1:1 to BA miles in blocks of 5,000 with no annual fee.) I have been using another credit card for Comcast, but will try this for a couple months. Even though Comcast automatically charges the card every month the word "recurring" does not appear in the transaction description. Not sure if this will prevent Chase from recognizing that it is a qualifying transaction.

Comcast even mailed me a form yesterday and it only has a place for checking. I finally just paid it online with the BA card, hopefully it will code right. Maybe it is a Florida Comcast thing!
