I see an "articles" link (http://www.flyertalk.com/articles) off the main FT page.

Might I suggest that IB actually proof these things before posting them? Many of them contain huge deficiencies, factual inaccuracies, or stuff that's just obvious--even to the novice traveler who might read them.

If it's search fodder you seek, approaching the folks who actually maintain wikis and such in the individual forums is probably a better choice. If someone read one of those and subsequently cruised the respective forum, they'd have to scratch their head in amazement....

Could this have anything to do with the prior discussion?

This is what IB had said (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni/974589-do-you-get-paid-post-here-pimp-products-2.html#post12059345):
We are considering building out general travel articles that will be completely separate from the forums but would link in to relevant threads. The goal being to introduce Flyertalk to new readers and grow the site over time.

The topics will likely surround business and leisure travel but will stay away from reward programs. We will be leaving that to the expert members at FlyerTalk.
