Just tried Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Nutty Bits, chunks of a light nut crunch (almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, pistachios) dipped in 60% dark chocolate and lightly sprinkled with fleur de sel--crunchy, not too sweet, and of course the dark chocolate adds to their charm. I CANNOT stop eating these things and must reluctantly ban them from the house for my own good (except for entertaining ;-). I have similar issues with really good potato chips, certain seed-sprinkled cheese aperitif crackers I buy in EU... what munchies are on your freak-out list? Or does everyone else have better self-discipline than I do?

The single hardest munchie for me to stop eating once I've started is - by far - original Fritos. Others are smokehouse almonds, salted cocktail peanuts, salted peanuts in the shell, and Lays kettle potato chips. No problem limiting sweets.

Popcorn from a real popper. I can't stop eating it. Eating a lot makes me queasy the next day but I will still eat it till it's gone. That's kinda scary isn't it.

I have a Stir Crazy popcorn popper. It doesn't matter how much I make, I always eat every last kernel. And the best thing about it, it doesn't matter how cheap the popcorn, the Stir Crazy pops 99.9% of the kernels.

That would be Crunchy Cheetos for me. I have no problem saying no to the Puff variety, however. :)

Fried rice crackers. They used to serve them at the SFO RCC when that
dungeon was shared by Virgin Atlantic. Amazingly addictive.

Ice cream or frozen yogurt

A summer job scooping ice cream at Brigham's cured me of that addiction, even many many years later.

Tortilla chips with decent (not even good) salsa/guacamole

Frosted Flakes (I've since relegated it to a "Weekend" cereal - that is, when I buy it)

Beer...

Sorry. They're going to have to pry that out of my cold, dead fingers. :D

LOL. When I break down and buy them, I've taken to purchasing the single portion bags. That helps me immensely with portion control in my time of weakness. :)

I knew when I saw 'Herr's' that you were somewhere in PA, having lived in Newark, DE :)

+1 or as Mrs. Italy often says "he'll eat anything that doesn't eat him".

Oh, they sound great! I'll search them out on my next trip to Palm Springs....

I'm the opposite...lol. I have a hard time passing up Puffy Cheetos and have no problem saying no to the Crunchy kind.

The one thing that doesn't stay long in my house...candy...of any kind.

Popcorn - oh Lord do I love popcorn. Don't hold back the butter. Plenty o' salt, too.

That and Doritos.

Really, though, it's anything these days. I'm on a strict diet and my cabinets have never been so bare. Sigh.

Gotta get the pieces instead of the bites when purchasing Snyder's pretzels. They have more of the good [powdered processed food product] stuff on them.

Fortunately, so rich that I am satisfied with one bite. Oh, so delicious.

The day you posted this, I went to TJ's and bought a bag. They are good, but what I REALLY liked was the Chili-spiced pineapple. So yummy.
The other thing is hummus. I have to portion it out or I will eat the entire family sized tub.
