A friend of mine called me from AMM saying that he and his mother were involuntarily denied boarding as the flight was heavily overbooked. He is not the kind who would know all the rules about IDB. It is critical for him that he comes back before Oct 27. RJ is offering to rebook him on a flight on Oct 30 which is unacceptable. Also, they initially claimed that they are offering $250 but when the paper was handed to him, it showed only $150.

He said RJ was absolutely impossible to deal with. Any suggestions? FYI, the tickets were issued by RJ on RJ's ticket stock if it matters.

Probably too late, don't forget IDB rules vary country to country and without doing too much work, I don't know if Jordan has comparable passenger rights as compared to the EU or US.

There are many others options from Jordan to the US that RJ may be able to accomodate. Off the top of my head, Delta has a daily nonstop to JFK, LH daily through FRA, AF daily through CDG, Turkish daily through IST, etc.

BD daily through LHR connecting to BA or UA, both are codeshare partners
