Good morning,

I had (yes, HAD) to buy a new laptop yesterday & while it came 'optimized' & I've actually had to do very little to get it where I want it, I do have a question re: the IE address bar. It is defaulting to show 10 previous websites visited, 5 history pages, & 5 Favorites when I click on the down arrow; anyone know how to get rid of the history & Favorites & just have previous websites visited display instead? I'm not very techy so I may have gone right by the setting for this & not realized it, so please be patient.

Thank you!

No-I guess I didn't explain myself too well.

What I'm referring to must be something new MS decided to incorporate into this version of Windows (I had IE8 on my old laptop & the address bar didn't look like what I'm trying to describe).

Click on the down arrow on the far right side of your address bar & you'll get a drop down menu of all the websites you've visited recently.

This version of Windows still does that, but only provides the last 10. Under that list are 2 subheadings w/different lists of 5 sites each, one from History & one from Favorites, both of which are expandable up to 20. However, it's the main drop down list I'd rather have expand to 20, not these 2 subheadings & that's what I'm hoping someone who also now has WIN 7 might have figured out how to fix?

I looked this morning when your first post hit, and my only solution was to keep IE closed (where I prefer it) and stick w/ Firefox. I can see no setting to achieve what you desire.
