It was interesting I heard about the Amazon deal dying from one of our wineries, who was not going to participate.
But Amazon has ended it's plans to sell wine. They are saying the shipping arrangements were driving them nuts (each state's regulations), but I have to believe they were having trouble getting wineries on board, since the winery would only get 47% of the sales price of each bottle.
And not to be passed over by the other papers, USA today now has a wine club, Six bottles every three months, $70 plus $14 shipping. Wines chosen by a panel of readers.
