Hi Folks…my maiden post here on flyer talk. Hope firstly, I’ve posted this in the right forum. What started as a little glance thru this website, took up the better part of the weekend and now with a slight turn in events has led me to work on possibly my first mileage run.

Have to do a quick run to HKG & SIN from my home airport of MAA. Been doing some searches on ITA. But ITA doesn't allow you book on their site and neither does it mention rough miles accrued with a selected flight option. Found the link to the Flying Fish site flyingfish.oscarfish.com but unable to run it on a MAC...any other similar programs for the MAC's...??

Am currently only on Jet Airways “Jet Privilege program”, in the silver category. But realized Jet is not part of any of the big alliances as yet, though from what’s buzzing on the threads, looks like they are in talks with both Star Alliance and One world.

Firstly should I do a run on Jet Airways itself, or get working on building Kris Flyer miles?

Kris Flyer miles, as I travel thru South east asia a couple of times a year and so was thinking if I start doing the MR’s on SQ, it might help as they have an extensive network all across S.E. Asia. Added to that I have a mate to stay with in SIN, thereby allowing me to plan future runs with SIN as a base and without having to worry bout accommodation.

Apologies for all these questions must be really basic. Just trying to get a grip on the wonderfully interesting and sometimes complex web of Frequent Flyer programs and mileage runs...
