I am trying to verify the configuration of economy row 8 in Iberia's A340-200. I have been told that the center seats, in row 8, do not have 4 seats as do the other rows. Instead there are only 3 seats with two next to each other, then an open space where the third seat would have been and then the fourth seat. If this is true then we want the two seats together which are available. It would be almost like having two aisle seats. Seatguru doesn't show it that way but AA, with whom we booked (using miles) says that's the way it is. Does anyone know for certain?

I assume you mean 343 as IB just have 343's and 346's
Row 8 on the 343 have 3 seats in the center (D-E-G) instead on (D-E-G-H) like the other rows. They are located right in the middle with no open space so row 9 seats D and H have extra leg room.
I would prefer A-C or J-L pairs on row 8 (bulkhead) or row 22 (exit row)

I think the AA rep was taking the seat map to literally: it does show up as

D E G
|_| |_| |_|

as if there is a gap, but in reality it is a set of 3 seats together where there would normally be 4 :)
