Hello together,

have you ever tried a special meal on a inner-European flight (e.g. ZRH-CDG) in C-Class?

- was ist "regular" C standard or was it the same as in Y?
- which one do you prefer/ would you recommend?
- Portion bigger/ smaller?

Thank you

There is no option to book SPML on such short hops. These are more aimed at longhaul traffic:

Well, on my flights with LX in C CPH-ZRH-VLC and return, it was no problem to order child meal for my son on all leg's.

I have often ordered the special low sodium meal ATH-ZRH and ZRH-CDG
for health reasons.
It is usually quite tasty.
ZRH-CDG usually sandwiches with turkey (I think) meat and some fruit and dried nuts. Not bad at all.

This is not correct. You can book special meals for LX short haul C with no problem. We almost always book a special meal on european LX flights such as FRA-ZRH or BUD-ZRH and the like. It has never been a problem and the food is quite ok though the chocolate is always the best :)

You can't order a special meal in Y though IIRC.

Correct. You can book SPML on every Swiss C flight within Europe. Mrs. martin_ usually does so, the veggie (VLML) option is a different sandwich on the extremely short hops like MUC-ZRH and a nice dish of curry rice and vegetables on the longer flights. Quantity is the same, salad comes as well, dessert and cheese may be different as they serve the same on different special meals (e.g. fruits instead of some more substantial dessert). Still, quality is very good - just tried it yesterday on ATH-ZRH-MUC.

had lots of hindu meals on my milage run early september due to my M/M profile containing hindu meal as special meal choice.. even on the short hop ZRH-NUE and ZRH-MUC a hindu meal was prepared (was a vegetarian sandwich instead of the "meat" or "cheese" selection)

Are the SPML tastier? I'm flying MAN-ZRH-TXL the first leg on Helvetic. First flight will be a hot breakfast then ZRH-TXL in the afternoon. What can I expect?

Thank you
