Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Suggestion/Help Please: Where to shower arriving in MEL?

Hi All,

I'm on SIN-MEL arriving Wed am at 10am... and then going to a business meeting at 11... I'm flying F, so I can change into PJs on the plane... so that's not too bad...

Any suggestions on where to shower at the airport? Is there an arrivals lounge?

1 hour between arrival time and meeting is not enough time (unless your meeting is airside at the airport). Immigration & customs can take up to an hour and then there is a reasonable distance to get into the city.

No arrivals lounge. Not sure if there are public showers but there are a number of airport hotels you could book a day stay with to use a shower - of course that will also use up time getting there, checking in, showering, checking out.

Ok, thanks for advice, I pushed back start to 11.30am... and have told them to expect me to be flexible on arrival...

Since I'm an Aussie should be reasonably quick through customs/immigration etc, but we'll see.

Do you have an E-Passport?
Smartgate takes as little as 2 minutes to clear immigration, then its just a matter of Customs although MEL has been pretty good for morning arrivals IME.

Thanks great tip. I just a new passport two weeks ago, so i'm going to give this a try!

Pretty sure there was showers in/near some of the public toilets, which Melbourne Airport website confirms here (http://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Flight-Passenger-Info/Aiport-Facilities/Facilities-toilets-baby-change-showers-etc/Showers.html). Can't vouch for cleanliness or otherwise.
