bmi diamond club - How reliable are CheckMyTrip.com error messages?

I have an upcoming business award for June next year that I snagged back in August: OSL -(SK)- ZRH -(LX)- JFK /stopover/ LGA -(AC)- YYZ.

Out of boredom at work I checked my itinerary on CheckMyTrip.com a few days ago, only to discover the following message:

The following warning(s) occured
Please note that the Airline has cancelled one or more of your selected flights. No ticket can be issued for this reservation. Please modify your reservation, or contact your travel agent for further information. (9115)

I also noticed that next to our ticket numbers it now says "Oslo - New York" instead of "Oslo - Toronto" as it did a few days after booking when I looked up the itinerary. Further down on the web page, it says "have cancelled" next to my New York - Toronto flight, and right beneath that there's a duplicate entry of the same New York - Toronto flight with "confirmed, timechange" next to it.

I immediately checked my reservation on Swiss.com and AirCanada.com using their confirmation numbers, everything seemed fine there. I also used the Amadeus receipt web application (http://eitr.amadeusasia.com/), and everything seems fine there as well, except that the system seems to be making a new historical copy every other day (last one made today, before that October 22).

I also noticed that Air Canada now is using booking class I for business awards on AirCanada.com, whereas the Amadeus output shows D as earlier, could this have anything to do with it?

Is there anything wrong with my itinerary that requires immediate action, or could I just relax and hope that someone within the BMI system takes care of this (if there is anything to take care of)?.

Do the flights you have booked still operate and at the times?

Yes and yes.

I came to think of the possibility that maybe CheckMyTrip.com is just confused by the first LGA-YYZ entry that is cancelled, ignoring the following, identical segment (LGA-YYZ) that is confirmed. I still don't have any idea about why it has become duplicated though.

It seems like it might have been a change of flight number?

I've had this before. The old flight number you booked no longer exists, so the flight shows as cancelled. The replacement flight which may or may not be at the same time shows confirmed. However bmi have not re-issued the ticket for the whole journey.

Just a hunch about what might have happened. In any case if CMT is not showing the start and end point next to the eticket number then that would be enough for me to think there might be something wrong and cal DC to check the eticket covers the whole journey.

That's what happened to us last year when TG canned their winter schedule between HKG-HKT. I think that the ticket needs to be revalidated or reissued, can't remember which. If there's a discrepancy between your e-tix start/end points on CMT and your actual sectors it's safest to get them to reissue/revalidate as there is always a chance that you will end up with an unnecessary headache halfway through your journey.

The fact that Amadeus is churning out loads of historical e-tix might mean that there's a problem too.

Take a look at this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/bmi-diamond-club/1005840-have-cancelled-flights-after-re-timed-segments-do-i-need-call.html).

Given that you:
checked my reservation on Swiss.com and AirCanada.com using their confirmation numbers, everything seemed fine there

... I don't think you've anything to worry about.

I would call BD and get the tickets reissued. Had the same thing with LHR-BEY-LHR flights. Flight number for LHR-BEY changed from BD997 to BD907 but same timings. Had first flight "unable, does not operate" and under the new BD907 with "confirmed, timechange". The e-ticket number was followed by Beirut-London, and not London-London. bmi reissued the ticket after I have asked for them to do it.
