Hello,

Looking for some opinions/options on trying to hit EXP. I am out of ORD. It comes down to needing this.

1. 15-20 segements

2. 25k-30k EQM

I have a 7 days off next week plus some time in November. All on AA all on my dime.

Thanks

25-30 EQMs would take an afternoon, why fly 15 segs?

I am not being lazy but I can't seem to find anything like that in a afternoon/day or so. Any ideas where to start?

Although that would be one long afternoon even with DEQM. :p

Even without your PLT bonus ORD-MKE would yield 134 EQMs, which is more than the 30 EQMs you need. :)

(Or do you need 30K EQMs?)

assuming you need 30k eqm's.....look at ord-right coast-left coast-europe & back....w/ deqm, that should do it....

btw, 15-20 and 25-30 isn't precise....if you need 15 segs, youcould do it in 3 or 4 days by ord-tx [w/connection]....getting 4 segs is a no brainer, w/some work you can get 5 or 6 segs/day...

why don't you try a few combos, post them and perhaps you will get some advice to improve it....good luck....

edit to add....many people say to go thru mke or start there...

Well if I only travel what I have on the books then I will end up needing

1. 20 segements

2. 25k EQM

Here is what I have come up with.

Oct 27 ORD-STL-ORD-DFW-SAT-DFW-ORD tOTAL $415.60

Also am I correct that O fares ORD-NRT-ORD earn full (100%) miles. So ORD-NRT-ORD is 6274 each way doubled for a total of 25,096 but .5 on the EQP?

needing 12.5k bis, i would try lax/sfo-europe....i don't know the mi ord lax, but remember dfw-lax-lhr-back was near 13 k.....often you can do a get off get back on in europe....not sure about nrt...

edit....the iad-sfo-iad has good fares some times for 5k mi, so 2 back to back plus a connection plus a connection on the positioning flights should do it....good luck...

That seems to be unclear, based on the Flyerguide (http://www.flyerguide.com/wiki/index.php/Inventory_Classes_and_Mileage_Eligibility_%28AA%29 ) post that reads:

The following issue remains to be verified in light of the newly stated policy: AA.com previously stated, "No EQP, EQM, or RDM credit for tickets between North America and Europe, India, Asia and Latin America." BUT FTer experience indicated that flights to Mexico, the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Bermuda and Central America did indeed earn EQP, EQM, and RDM credit. In other words, O fares earn credit anywhere 'domestic' 500-mile upgrades work.

the CPM isn't great but one of the cheaper destinations in Europe for AA right now seems to be Barcelona via JFK. Seeing some availability Oct 31-Nov 1 from ORD for $771 a.i. there are some detouring options on the way over (CLE?)
