Emirates Airlines Skywards - EK372 from End of Nov no more A380 ?

Looking on my manage my booking to see how many seat's were left in 1st on this booking to my amazment the A380 is no longer operating the flight and its back to a 777-300.

Absolutely gutted as used my miles to try out the 1st class on the A380 to find that it now no longer operating the flight...

How long has this been changed from the A380 back to a 777 ?

Im still in 1st class but unsure what ill be getting now be it suites or skycrusier ?

Still showing as A380 on the 28th November, in my manage my booking.

Managed to get 68A again, as good as it gets in Y. :D

There's an operational change -- on 20 and 21 November EK373/373 is operating with a 2-class B777-300ER.

The rest of the month it operates with A380 as scheduled.

Thanks for the heads up ... shame that it has to have changed for my flight ... but thats life .... would have been nice.

Orginally my booking was in J and i upgraded to 1st to try this the 380 in 1st by using my miles.

What will happen now if this is down as being opped by an 2 class 777-300ER. with my booking to be shown as in 1st for the DXB-BKK sector ... ? ... .will they re-credit my miles back or something else ?

Just a little bit pissed off now that i up graded to 1st and that i will never get to try it as it being op'd by a 2 class flight ....

My orginal routing is BHX-DXB-BKK-DXB-BHX

Flew DXB-BKK on the A380 on 30 September in 1st. Fantastic! Unfortunately they had taken the A380 off for 19 October but we did have a three class 773 without the suites. Having purchased a ticket to fly the A380 I tried to get a swap onto EK001 to London but EK would not wear it. Said I had to pay a change fee of 300 sterling per pax. Talking to EK staff I was advised that because of lack of A380 aircraft it is easiest to take the aircraft from the DXB-BKK route when other A380s are undergoing routine maintenance. Nevertheless, the service on all my sectors was superb with the DP flowing freely. We even managed to get into the A380 cockpit and speak to the captain after shutdown at BKK.

Just done a quick dummy booking for my flight on the 21st Nov from DXB-BKK and is now showing on the Ek site as only being sold as Y and J only.

Orginally i was in 2K on the 380 in 1st on that flight and when i spoke to skywards yesterday they said that i will still be in 1st yet on a 777 on EK372 ... Some how i think somebody has got there wires crossed.

I pressume that if i was booked in F on EK372 and now its being op'd by a 2 class 777 ... i assume that im either getting moved to J or Y for the flight... ?

Would i be getting any sort of compenstation for this or just have to go with the flow and find out whats happening when i check in at BHX on the 20th Nov.

I upgraded my parents from Y to J and I was told that in case the aircraft swaps from 380 to another aircraft, I can withdraw the upgrade, so get my miles back. However, we might need to see whether my parents could still get the same booking class in Y as they iniitally had!

Based on my recent experience when EK replaced the A380 with a 777 out of BKK, take it up with EK in the UK. Telno 0844 8002777. I had hoped I would get some joy when I was in Dubai but I just got the runaround for an hour whilst in the F lounge. They kept telling me that it was a matter for the UK office where the booking was made. Good luck and let us know how you got on.
