Hyatt Gold Passport - The Hyatt World Map

In the last couple of days, I repeatedly have gotten, "We're sorry... We could not load the Hyatt World Map" fairly quickly when I get to its page.
What a relief!
I have booked while on wifi, wire and dial-up lately. On the first two, it's like driving with the brake on; on dial-up, it's awful.
I have been invited to do the survey about the website several times recently (thank you and bravo, Hyatt). I've welcomed the opportunity to tell them that, while I'd prefer to see the map go away, I'd recommend that we at least have a yes/no option as to whether or not we want it for that session, since they probably focused it.
Thoughts?

I could live with the maps slowing down the website searching for rates if it was properly scaled but the way it is currently, the map function is totally worthless since properties end up "on top of each" other on the map unless there is like one Hyatt property in the state.

I sort of agree I think the map popping up is annyoing becuase 90% of the time I know what hotel I want to stay in and where it is located. There should be an option "display area map". I find google maps far more useful than the hyatt map

Firewind-after emailing Hyatt about this they emailed back & said this is being caused by "increased site usage" & that they have 2 & r n the process of upgrading their servers.

mommafrica, thank you, there's definitely good news there. However, and I know you're just the messenger, during this nadir in hotel business, usage is up? It's possible. Still, one wonders what it would be like during normal times. (In my experience, the site is always slow, sometimes slower than other times, which could reflect usage. My guess is that they've chosen a slow technology for the map.)
