Mileage Run Discussion - It finally happened!

SO and I are doing some traveling over the next few weeks. I am unable to visit her folks with her since it is a transcon with a 3-4 day minimum. After her flights over the next few weeks, she will be 94 miles short of AA Gold requalification. It is so cute -- she asked me if we could fly somewhere to get her Gold for next year.

I have taken overnight transcons to requalify and have taken pretty stupid trips to get lower tier reauqlification. It just warms my heart that my SO has started valuing her premium status.

3 years ago, she thought I was insane taking an overnight transcon to requalify; now I am flying with her for support! Maybe she has started to understand me!!!!! :D

No need to understand you, just let the upgrades and mileage bonus speak for themselves.

Awww, that is so sweet!;)

My wife just flew back to the States for a weekend and called me from the FRA after checking in at the AC. She was reading the WSJ, drinking coffee and eating a German roll with jelly when she called and saud "This is so nice, why doesn't everyone do this?" (Obviously we don't want that.)

She is flying both ways in J, upgraded with an eVIP on a cheap Y fare. This is only her 2nd time in J. I suspect Monday when I pick her up at FRA she will have had a epiphany.
