Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - A330-300 Bkk to new delhi and return

Apparently Thai is using A330-300 on Bkk Del Route (morning flight) starting 25 Oct 2009.Could some one please provide with some experiences in Business class of this aircarft. Is this aircraft equipped with the upgarded version of J class.

All the A330's are two-class only. The three newest planes, HS-TEN, HS-TEO, HS-TEP all have the new pod seats. All other A330's have the old reclining regional seats. However, as reported here earlier by spk, I believe, the first two new planes (HS-TEN & HS-TEO) have a serious flaw in that the recline was set to limit it so that they do not go flat. He reported they will fix it, but I just flew HS-TEO this morning and it is not yet fixed. I think I'd almost prefer an older A330 rather than one of these two new ones. From my vague recollection, the recline is better on the old A330 business seats. I've yet to fly HS-TEP, so don't know any first-hand details about the seat recline on it.

Anyone please is there any update on this thread please.

If I may, I think the problem is that you specifically asked for people with experience on that flight, yet as you state they only started flying the A330 on Oct. 25. How can you expect people to comment on something that didn't even start when you first posted that, and has as of now been only ongoing for a few days? I'd suggest you search this forum for comments already posted about the A330, and make a seat choice based on those comments.

Just to update the one flying to DEL is the old Config.

The new one on Amadeus comes up as 330 and the old config as 333

Also the morning flight ex DEL seems to be a bit of a lottery now days. Have seen it operated with a A345, AB6 and A333 over the last few weeks.

Thanks Lallyr. Thats true the morning flight was a bit of lottery for me last time i was in Delhi utilizing the morning flight. ended up in a 777. so will find out myself soon.
