I haven't traveled regularly in some time but am about to start domestic regional travel again and would like to see what FT members think about which is the best frequent guest program these days.

I just want to focus on accumulating points. I also am a member of the Hilton and Marriott frequent guest programs. In my area, there are plenty of holiday inn's/express, hamptons, and courtyard/fairfields and I will be starting at zero points.

which hotel program do you feel is most generous with regards to points needed for stay and accumulation of points for reward stays? Also, Who runs the best promotions these days for accumulating points?

I would like to poll FT members to see which program members like best and hear why before I choose a chain to start staying at so I can rack up points for a week of reward night stays.

This is probably not the best forum to ask that in, as you aren't going to get a wide variety of responses. MilesBuzz would be better. However, don't crosspost there: a moderator will move this if necessary.

Also, I think you'll find a number of past threads of interest. Among them are:

Look around, read threads, ask specific questions, and choose something that meets your needs. Most FTers belong to more than one hotel program simply because each chain has strengths and weaknesses both in terms of geographic availability and program benefits.
