Does anyone know if once Mexicana joins Oneworld the miles from Mexicana can be transfer to AAdvantage as a one time thing.
If not any suggestions on how to get the most out of the two FF programs, since I have miles in both programs?
Thanks!

I doubt MX and AA will allow the transfer of any miles to another account. Morever, if they were to decide to allow it, the rate would be horrible in my opinion.
I am also a member of both programs. I always try to do research on which program will give me the most miles for a given trip. I am going to continue this even after MX becomes OW. Mexicana also has partners that are not OW. AV is one of these partners.

I don't see this transfer happening. I haven't seen that before with OW carriers. To get the most of of the programs depends on how much you travel and whether you want elite status on either or both of them. It also depends on where you fly. For example, top level status on MX isn't going to give you unlimited free upgrades on AA. So, if you fly mainly AA routes, AA status might serve you better than having MX status.
