Hi,
My bidding on Priceline for 3 and 4* hotels in Seoul isn't going well. I already got assistance help at the now suspended service (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/12684390-post643.html and http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/12690570-post662.html). $142 is a bit steep for me so I haven't done that. That's FAR more than what people reported in the past for 4* hotels on betterbidding.com.
I've raised my 4* bids to $80 so far w/no luck.
Does anyone have suggestions for inexpensive hotels that are safe, reasonably cheap (trying to keep it under $100 US/night), near subway stations and aren't totally out in the boonies from tourist attractions.
I tried visiting Expedia and sorting by price but I'm not sure what to make of some of the cheaper hotels. Some like the hotels below, my Korean American friend said are too far:
Hotel New Prince
Bucheon, Korea, Republic of
Seven River West Hotel
Seoul, Korea, Republic of
I also tried all the $$ hotels at http://www.frommers.com/destinations/indexaccom.cfm?destID=3864&mh=1000&directory=seoul&order=SBPC and all are full or full for some of the days of my stay. Is something going on in Seoul during that time?
Should I just bite the bullet and pay $128-$140 for a Marriott Courtyard that still seems to have rooms? I'd rather not stay in a dorm w/shared bathrooms.
