Flying Blue (Air France & KLM) - Elite and Ivory availability help

I'm trying to book a Promo Award. I'm Gold and want to fly myself. From my account I see a lot of availability, but I don't have enough miles. My wife has the miles, but she is just Ivory and there are just 2 dates available, very inconvenient for me. Is there any way around this?
The strange thing is that the price in miles I see from my gold account is not the 15% higher Elite Award that I was supposed to, but the lowest ordinary price. Another error in the booking engine? Probably all these flights are unbookable due to "technical reasons"?

Ring the Elite+ number and explain. They would be able to book out of your wife's account with Elite+ availability.
Elite awards will only show to Elites when there is no normal availabilty.

I think MichielR's suggestion is the most sensible to try but as far as I know, they certainly aren't obliged to do it. They may instead suggest the only 'official' way round I could thnk of which would be a miles donation from your wife to you, which comes at a cost.

Ask to pick up the miles for your ticket from your account and the one of you wife. They may do this favor for Elite Plus, at least they have already done it.

And if the agent is non-cooperative, call again until you find a more'experienced and more-helpful one.

Thanks a lot, I'll try. The trouble is it's a Promo Award I'm looking for, and they are available only online?
