SAS EuroBonus - New sportsbar in the CPH Business Lounge

A sports bar has been added to the business area on the first floor of the SAS Lounge in Copenhagen airport, as part of an ongoing upgrade of the lounge. The sports bar opens in week 42 and will be equipped with flat-screen TVīs and especially designed "sound-showers" that are constructed to only release sound from the TV in specially designated areas, above the sports bar tables.
This feature allows the sports bar to be situated closely to the reception desk without making any disturbing excess noise. As an additional innovative feature, the tables have been decorated with markings for games of chess, backgammon and dots and crosses.

"on the first floor of the SAS Lounge in Copenhagen airport" would be in the Scandinavian lounge rather than the business lounge, unless they change the lounge layout in some way.
Pretty nice though! :)

Isn't it
First floor: Business Lounge
Second floor: Scandinavian Lounge ?
Since it mentions the reception desk, I think it's in the business lounge downstairs.

I thought the reception desk (where you should your BP/EBG-card) was on the ground floor, making the business lounge on the ground floor and the Scandinavian lounge on the first floor.
In fact there is also a kind of a reception desk in the Scandinavian lounge right in front of you when you have climbed the stairs.
Anyway, I'll be passing CPH in just a few hours, so we'll see where the bar actually is... ;)

I guess that depends on if you talk "British" or "American" English! :D (But I didn't see any sportsbar upstairs yesterday, so it has to be downstairs.)

Haha, that is a good point! :D Didn't really think about it as "first floor" to me is always the floor above the one where you enter the site.
Anyway, I'm in the CPH lounge right now and there is indeed nothing that looks like a sports bar in the Scandinavian lounge.
However there is in the business lounge, you can see it if you look over the railing from the Scandinavian lounge.
It's nothing incredible but I guess it's a nice place to sit if there is a big game on the TV.

Well, I am surprised to hear that they have decided to call the TV-area a sportsbar. This area has been in place for quite some time and the two screens normally shows CNN or Danish TV2-News no matter what time of day.
Strong light and bright white furniture? Not much sportsbar atmosphere over this place :)

 I though they put up some TV in the bar like area upstairs... this is really pushing the concept of a sportsbar...

This is normal confusion between Sweden and Norway. In Norway they need to keep it simple to avoid mistakes thus the ground floor is level 1 and, well, level 1 is level 2.
CPH Business lounge (and the sports bar) is still at ground floor, swedish lingua.

But if the Business Lounge (and security) is ground floor, what is check-in floor then?

Basement? :D Well actually it did say "first floor of the SAS lounge", so no reference to the number of floors in the terminal building.
Have you noticed this big AY Helsinki Lounge Spa advert next to the SK Lounge in CPH (to your left when you exit the lounge)?
The picture looks impressive, slightly more impressive than the sports bar:D

Thought I'd add to an existing thread rather than start a new one;
Flying from CPH-ZRH in SK C in a few weeks, I'm BD*G.
Is this lounge with its new sports bar the best one (only one) to try - I will only be there for a short breakfast before the flight as I'm staying at the CPH Hilton?
If I got there a bit earlier are there any other lounges to try at CPH as I don't go through here at all normally? (I think not?)

You go in the door and register at the desk. On that level is the Business Lounge with its so-called 'sports bar'. However, because you are *G you will be invited to step to your right and go up the stairs to the (marginally nicer) Scandinavian Lounge.
cheers,
Henry
