I doubt it. Most likely the rates associated with this offer will be prepaid, and the voucher only works with refundable rates (= you pay at the hotel). You should, however, be able to use the vouchers for any charges you incur at the hotel, as long as they can be billed to the room.

This is inaccurate information. It is, in English English, a lie.

I am an A|Club member. This morning I received the relevant email.

I can see the hotel, room, rate, dates I want. However, when I click on OK to confirm the booking, the system hangs, in the time-honoured, oh-so-frustrating way of the antediluvian Accor reservation system.

I am not able to book. I am unable to book.

I am an A|Club member and just booked a NYE room in Hunter Valley for $99/night with a king bedroom, spa bathroom and separate loungeroom with private courtyard. Complimentary use of Bathrobe, Slippers, Coffee Machine and Bottled Water. :D The advertised price is $349, so it's a very good bargain.

It's gonna be an amazing short vacation since hubby will need to work during Christmas & New Year periods; he'll only get a day off on Christmas Day, NYE and New Year's Day.

Thanks, but that link directs to the promo in which you could spend hotel vouchers at Motel 6 hotels in the US. When I login to my account, I don't see this promo mentioned. You are on the right track -DSH- ... pick a specific hotel and then enter your information such as dates, how many people, etc. and you will get to another page that shows the available rates for that specific property ... then you should find the 3-day sale rate ... otherwise contact Accor's or A/Club's customer service.

You are on the right track -DSH- ... pick a specific hotel and then enter your information such as datesYes if you're successfully logged in to A Club you'll see the "special" rates - not at all hotels unfortunately, eg the Novotel Manly-Pacific in SYD is excluded.

But the PER Novotel Langley & Mercure are there for $99AUD till mid-March. Except for Sat nights, perhaps a deliberate effort to stop people staying too long at these rates!

agree with other posters, nothing particularly attractive this time compared to the spring sale, when I booked VIE hotel/BKK (suite) for 1500 Bht, and now they offer the same room for about 100 US ...or Veranda in Vietnam went for almost 60 USD, and this time it goes for 2xx$....just like regualar prices, nothing seducing...

I agree. These are good prices, but nothing to get too excited about at most hotels. The prices are 25-50% higher than the sale earlier this year, which really was in fact something to get excited about. And they are pre-paid, non-refundable, no breakfast. The hotel points are worth only about a 6% discount (and you can only collect that if you eventually exceed about $1000 in hotel expenses).

For those of you who want to take advantage of this sale, I've found that the sale extends into March at least, even though they said it ended in February.

Hi PaulRO, I had a similar issue but realised the link defaulted through to today's date so I couldn't see any sale prices. Then when I made sure to read the dates of teh sale (starting 1st December) I could then see the sale prices. Just have to be sure to look around a bit and try a few different days as sale prices dont seem to be there on every day.

The Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok (previously Sofitel) is not on Accor's 3-day sale splash page, and it does not come up as a selectable hotel if you click through,

HOWEVER, if you google "Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok previously Sofitel", you CAN get to Accor's booking page where it is bookable at the 3-day sale rate of $51 per night or $60 ai (with taxes). I stayed there last January, and it is an excellent hotel in a great location. This is a much better deal than all of the other upscale Accor properties in Bangkok (excepting the airport one if you want that.)

This hotel may be about to be dropped by Sofitel because I can see Sofitel is listing another property under the same name, but not yet opened.

Booked 21 nights in the previous sale and 24 nights this time.

I just figured out last night that some of the big hotel booking sites have access to the Accor sale inventory, with little or no markup. That means that you can combine this sale with coupons for those sites. Hotels.com seems to have a lot of Accor sale hotels. Hotelclub.com had just a few. I didn't see any on Orbitz (YMMV).

For example, hotelclub.com has a deal where you can you get up to $60 off your hotel booking, if you book in adv, ance and meet the minimum spend ($390 US, as I recall). Plus, you can use your existing hotelclub $-off and you will earn $20+ $-off for a future purchase. For example, you could get the Novotels in Hong Kong (Citygate, Centry, Nathan) for about $80 all-in on a 5-night booking, plus earn $20+ hotelclub dollars.

I got the Grand Sukhumvit for only about $43 all-in (but my coupon code was a one-time use, so I can't help you there).

Actually, I'm now seeing this sale on Orbitz too (though I didn't see any last night). So, in theory, you could combine this sale with their $40 off 3-night coupon (afforb40). For examples, All Seasons Sathorn comes out to only $22/night.

Not sure when the sale expires. They said Oct 29th, but I'm not sure of the time zone. And I seem to recall that, last time, the sale dragged on after the supposed end date.

Re. Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok: there are several sites including hotels.com and expedia that appear to have the King Suite misstated at the $50 rate. It's quite apparent when you look down the pricing lists and the Suite is listed first rather than the Deluxe.

That's very interesting. I booked that one without even realizing it. I wonder if they will honor it.

Maybe the confusion stemmed from the fact these booking sites call it a "deluxe suite" but Accor only has a deluxe category and a suite category.

in theory, any 3rd party booking site has access to this inventory as it is coming with a public rate code. if you wanna book through your preferred OTA and the rate doesn't show, I'd ask one of their agents.

As you wrote, hotelclub gives you a kick-back, so does agoda and i'm sure there are others as well.

and when looking at the 'best rate guarantees', you'll surely get them to match as well ;)

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit will open mid 2010 (they've already postponed the opening date a few times like usual) and will be located smack between nana and cowboy... let's hope they've got a better door policy than the sheraton :p

amazing, i just booked two stays for 3 nights each at a mere 23 usd, internet and bfst included. too bad this won't count into my a-club as it is not eligible when booked through 3rd party but for that rate, it's just too good to pass on - i'm sure i still get my comp upgrade, though that is not really such a difference at all seasons sathorn or huamark.
