I just noticed that some of the Hyatt Place properties are running a 30% off sale using the rate "30percent Off Hy.Com." I can't tell if it's a 1 day sale like yesterday's resort promotion, but it requires prepayment with a $50 cancellation penalty > 72 hours and fully non-refundable < 72 hours. Good opportunity for some MRs!

Care to elaborate a little more? (ie location, date). Did you just try to place a routine reservation and the rate show up?

I just pulled up the Best Available Rate for the properties in my area and this came up as an option. The rates seem to all end in .30. It's not every HP, but I've found the rate at HP N. Dallas/Grand Prairie, Austin Arboretum, Houston/Greenspoint/IAH, San Antonio Airport/NorthStar Mall.

Can you give me a different code? This doesn't even fit in the box provided on the reservation screen...

I would assume this rate just pops up when you choose "Best Available Rate".

Seeing these for for a week out (10/31) but not sooner, I'm just ringing in to say that, although it yields a $90.30 rate at the San Antonio Airport/NorthStar Mall, they state in the rate details box that tax is 1.75% :). People might want to consider this when pricing a stay. I'm used to at least 13%, and factor it in, virtually everywhere.

I just pulled up the Best Available Rate for the properties in my area...On a related note, the "Shop Spree" rate at the HP Dallas-North may be of interest to Dallas area members; $129 on weekends. This rate is usually $50 more than the prevailing HDR, so not a terrific deal unless one plans on buying a bunch of muffins for take-out.

I find the rate available for tonight and into late December, including the San Antonio property. I'm sure there are dates where they are not offering it due to high occupancy. As for the tax rate, I would not rely on the % shown. If you look at the calculated cost AFTER tax at that property, it looks like a 16.75% tax, not 1.75%. I've seen such errors on other properties as well.

gregorygrady is correct, you do not have to enter an offer code, it comes up under the default "Best Available Rate" rate type.
