This question is for SWAVictor.

OLCI attempts must surge tremendously at the top of the hour, at the bottom of the hour, and to a lesser extent at other departure times every 5 minutes. Does this spiking require Southwest to greatly oversize its servers? Or are the OLCI servers shared with other functions to spread the load spike? Please post as much of the technical considerations as you can.

I'd expect the servers have bigger "load issues" every time the schedule gets extended.

NSX, just out of curiosity, why the top and bottom of the hour? I thought departure times were spread pretty evenly around the hour. I know some airlines don't schedule flights at the 5s, if OCLI at -24 is causing an issue, that should help. I wonder if A list checkin is done at -36(-30?) to the second, or if they stagger that a little to ease the load?
